The 12-nation tournament scheduled for February 19 to March 11, 2023, will see Nigeria play its first match against Senegal, on the opening day.
Nigeria's under-20 men's team: the Flying Eagles, on Friday engaged in their first training session ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations following their arrival from neighbouring Morocco on Thursday night.
The Flying Eagles had been in Casablanca, Morocco for about a week, in preparation for the under-20 AFCON, and familiarising themselves with the Northern African climate.
They arrived in Egypt - the host nation for the U-20 tournament on Thursday, and are lodged at Jewel Sports City & Aqua Resorts.

On Sunday, the Flying Eagles will play their opening match in the tournament at the Cairo International Stadium against Senegal's Young Teranga Lions.
Prior to that, the competition's opening match will feature a battle between hosts Egypt and Mozambique.
What has been said?
"I so much believe that this is a team that we all hope in the nearest future, would be the crop of the Super Eagles team," Ladan Bosso said ahead of the Flying Eagles' arrival in Egypt.
"We have played several matches from the screening process before going for the WAFU competition, and I believe up to date, we have not lost any match. I always tell them [the players] that I don't want to hear we've lost a match, and I believe that character is in them.
"This is a team that always plays better in the second half, and I hope and believe they would always continue like that.
"I so much believe that this is a team with character, a team that never gives up in anything."
Nigeria go into the competition as the most successful nation, having been crowned champions seven times with the first in 1983 and the most recent in 2015.
