Victor Boniface has contributed 12 goals in 11 appearances this season for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga but was caged against Union Berlin.

Nigeria Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has reacted to a frustrating day at the office with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Boniface has pointed fingers at village people after he failed to score or assist in Leverkusen’s commanding 4-0 win against Union Berlin on Sunday.

Boniface’s No Show Against Berlin

The Nigerian superstar has been in fine form for the Bundesliga leaders but endured a difficult time against Union Berlin.

After winning a third consecutive Rookie of the Month award, the 22-year-old was the centre of attention when Berlin visited the BayArena.

However, it turned out to be a rather quiet outing for the Leverkusen contributor-in-chief despite a convincing and dominant display from his Die Werkself.

There were four different scorers on the day for Leverkusen, including Boniface’s compatriot at the club, Nathan Tella, who came off the bench to score a fantastic goal, his first for the club following his summer move.
