Tuesday night's win has promoted Opta's supercomputer to rethink its position on the North Londoners' chances of winning the Premier League

Opta Analyst’s super computer has revealed Arsenal’s chances of liting this season’s Premier League title after scrapping to a 4-3 victory over Luton Town on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta's side twice took the lead thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, that came either side of Gabriel Osho's fine header.

Rob Edwards side mounted an unbelievable comeback of their own and scored twice before the hour through Elijah Adebayo and Ross Barkley.

But the Gunners proved they are serious contenders to claim their first Premier League title in 20 years when Kai Havertz replied before Declan Rice's last-gasp winner.

Despite going into the game with a two-point lead at the top of the table, Arsenal were not fancied to win the title. Instead, coming out as third favorites behind Manchester City and Liverpool.

But Tuesday night's win has promoted Opta's supercomputer to rethink its position on the north Londoners, adjusting their title chances from 15.4 per cent to 17.4.

That shift sees Arsenal move ahead of Liverpool in their calculations, though the Reds will have the chance to close the gap at the top when they meet Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Wednesday.

However, the overwhelming favourites for this season's crown remain Pep Guardiola's side, who boast a whopping title winning percentage of 66.1 per cent.

The defending champions have drawn their last three games in the division and face another tricky tie against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
