In the 64th minute, Nigeria pulled one back through Okoronkwo’s penalty following a VAR-confirmed handball.

World record title haul for Nigeria

The win marks the first time a team has ever come from two goals down at halftime to win a WAFCON final.

Echegini says their time on social media does not stop them from playing their best game.

More significantly, it elevates the Super Falcons to 12 continental titles, 10 WAFCONs, and two African Women’s Championships from 1991 and 1995.
