Super Eagles stars Zaidu Sanusi and Shehu Abdullahi joined several Muslims around the world in the holiday celebrations on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
Sanusi and Abdullahi, as Muslim members of the Super Eagles fold, took to their official social media platforms to celebrate the special occasion.
The Muslim faith customarily utilizes the phrase "Eid Mubarak" during times of holy festivals like Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
The Eid Mubarak greeting is a traditional method to welcome someone or express happiness on Eid in the Muslim community.

Abdullahi and Sanusi celebrated Eid El Kabir in style after the Super Eagles captain recognized the special occasion.
While Musa is seen wearing a Brown overall agbada attire to go with black suede shoes and traditional headgear, Abdullahi and Shehu also showed off their style.
Abdullahi posted photos of himself at home, wearing cream agbada attire, traditional headgear, and brown slippers to match.

Along with the photos was a message that said, "Happy Eid El Kabir 🌙🎊
"Wishing you and your family, peace, harmony, happiness, good health, and prosperity.
"May Allah fulfill all your dreams, Allah bless!!!."
Zaidu posted a photo wearing an all-white agbada, traditional head gear, and white slippers to match.

Along with the photos was a message from Zaidu that said, "Taqabbalallahu Minna wa Minkum* May Almighty Allah accept all our acts of worship & reward us with the best in this World & the Hereafter.
"Eid Mubarak to you all muslim brother’s and sisters."
Zaidu's celebration of the holiday comes after he provided the crucial assist for Kelechi Iheanacho as the Super Eagles of Nigeria recorded a 3-2 win against Sierra Leone at the SKD Stadium, Monrovia.
It was an important goal as the Super Eagles booked their ticket to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
