The Super Eagles forward contributed directly to the third most goals in the league for Leicester, and with the only two players who were involved in more goals than him (James Maddison and Harvey Barnes) either leaving or set to leave the Foxes, Iheanacho could be set to leave the club as well.

According to reports from Foot Mercato, Iheancho could be offered a way back to the Premier League thanks to minnows Nottingham Forest.

The Super Eagles forward is believed to be a prime target for Forest, with the Midlands club looking to make him their first signing of the season.

Nottingham Forest survived the Premier League relegation battle in the 2022/23 season at the expense of Iheanacho’s Leicester, and could now take the forward from the Foxes as well.

After signing a ridiculous 27 players last season, including two Nigerians, Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis, and hope they can open this season’s market by signing another Super Eagles forward.
