Spain's Jenni Hermoso has been spotted back training with Mexican club CF Pachuca for the first time since filing a legal complaint against Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales for kissing her without consent.

Hermoso is accusing Rubiales of sexual assault over an unsolicited kiss after the Women's World Cup Final, with her club pledging to help her find normalcy as quickly as possible.

Pachuca are set to play against Pumas on Sunday in round 10 of the the Apertura tournament, but it remains  unknown whether Hermoso will feature for the side in the game.

After a long career in Europe with spells at Barcelona, PSG and Atlético Madrid, Hermoso joined Pachuca last summer.

The forward was prolific during her spell at Barcelona. She notched 18 goals in 20 games last season to help Pachuca reach the final, where they unfortunately lost to Club America.

Las Tuzas are currently in 10th place among 18 teams in the first division after nine rounds.

Spanish state prosecutors have filed the lawsuit against Rubiales for sexual assault and coercion, adding salt to Rubiales’ already sore wound after FIFA launched an investigation against him, suspending him in the process.

The president could face a fine or a prison sentence of one to four years if found guilty of sexual assault, under a recently passed law.

In a statement last month, Hermoso said the incident had left her feeling “vulnerable and a victim of aggression”. She described the kiss as an “impulsive act, sexist, out of place and without any type of consent from my part”.

Prosecutors have asked the National Court judge that Rubiales appear before a court to give preliminary testimony.
