Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi lit up the Premier League with a stunning pass, earning praise across England as fans hailed his creative brilliance.

Nigerian international Alex Iwobi set the Premier League ablaze at the weekend with an incredible performance for Fulham, earning widespread praise for a stunning assist that fans have compared to his legendary uncle, Jay-Jay Okocha.

Iwobi’s masterclass, which included a goal and a game-changing assist, fueled a 3-1 comeback win over Brentford, has now earned the seal of approval from the Premier League's official social media accounts.

The decisive moment came in the second half. With the score locked at 1-1, Iwobi took possession in the final third, and with a single, perfectly weighted pass, he sliced through the entire Brentford defense to find Harry Wilson.

The Premier League's official Instagram account was quick to highlight the moment, simply calling the move ‘SPECIAL.’

The ‘special’ play immediately drew comparisons to the kind of creative brilliance that defined Jay Jay Okocha's career at Bolton Wanderers.

One fan commented, “Iwobi playing like prime Okocha when he was at Bolton,” while another lauded the assist as "brilliantly weighted...that slid through the defence with precision."

His fantastic performance was more than just a passing moment of magic. It was a complete display of his new ambitions.

Iwobi, who also scored the equaliser, has publicly declared his goal to hit double-digit goal contributions this season and help fire Fulham into a European spot.

Having already notched a goal and two assists in the first few games of the season, he is well on his way to achieving that target.

The win over Brentford gives Fulham back-to-back Premier League victories and puts them in a promising position in the table.

While a portion of the fanbase remains critical of Iwobi's form for the Super Eagles, his club performances are undeniable. If he can continue to produce moments of magic like the one against Brentford, Fulham's European dreams may be closer to reality than ever before.
