Harambee Stars defender Johnstone Omurwa returned to the starting lineup as Estrela Amaradora were beaten 4-2 by Braga in a Liga Portugal match played at the Estádio José Gomes on Thursday evening.
Omurwa, who had been dropped in the last outing against Chaves on Saturday and subbed off at halftime during their defeat to FC Porto 10 days ago, did have a decent individual outing and was statistically the side’s best defender on the night.

The Kenyan right winger joined Chelsea as an Under 10 and spent close to a decade with the Blues before he was deemed surplus to requirements.
Defensively, he looked assured. He made two clearances, two tackles, and interceptions, won two of his three attempted aerial duels, and won four out of six ground duels.
In possession, he looked even better. Mwendwa opened up on plans to make Harambee Stars competitive in time for the 2027 AFCON.
The visitors opened the scoring through Alvaro Djalo in the 13th minute, before he added his second of the night in the 49th minute.
Simon Banza then made it three in the 68th minute, which momentarily made the game look impossible for Estrela to make any comeback.

However, Estrela reduced the deficit in quick succession. They netted their first goal in the 75th minute through Kikas, before scoring another four minutes later through Jean Phelipe.
Estrela continued pushing for an equaliser, but their hearts would be sunk as in the 94th minute, Ricardo Horta sealed it for Braga by scoring the fourth goal, which gave them a 4-2 win.
