The captain demanded that amputees football players to be given the same opportunities as other players.

The national amputee football captain, Sarafadeen Olalekan Oyeleke, has demanded that amputees football players to be given the same opportunities as other players.

The National Amputee Football Team defender said that Amputee will become a household name in the country.

He added that Corporate groups and individuals who think the sport will help close the gap between the able and the disabled are starting to support amputee soccer.

Sarafadeen appealed to amputee soccer players in Kwara State to continue training at the Kwara State Stadium ahead of the Zenith Amputee Football Championship in Lagos State and the upcoming 2nd edition of the National Para Festival in Abuja,

Who is Sarafadeen Oyeleke?

Sarafadeen Oyeleke is a Computer Engineering graduate from the Federal Polytechnic Offa in Kwara State.

Sarafadeen Olalekan Oyeleke

He has wealth of experience as a national captain, attended several competitions, the Cup of African Nations for Amputee Football (CANAF) in Liberia (2008), Ghana (2010), Kenya (2013), Angola (2019), and Tanzania (2022).

He also played professional amputee football in Turkey with Istanbul Spor Kulubu and Bursa Spor Kulubu, between 2015 and 2018, where he scored over 5 goals in the league and helped propel Bursa Spor Kulubu to their first Turkish Super League. He also attended the World Amputee Football Cup in Mexico in 2018.
