Napoli are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen next summer

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will remain a Napoli player for the entirety of the 2022/23 season but the club will listen to offers for him in the summer.

According to reports in Italy, Napoli are organising an ‘auction’ to give clubs chances to sign Osimhen in the summer of 2023.

Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Newcastle and most strongly, Manchester United have all been linked with Osimhen but it appears they can get him at the end of the season if they match Napoli’s valuation.

“Auction ready for Victor Osimhen,” according to a report by Italian outlet Il Mattino who claim that Premier League clubs have been informed of his availability in the summer.

Victor Osimhen is playing at his best for Napoli this season

“Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester United are already lining up and many emissaries are already in action to take him to the Premier League next season,” the report stated.

Chelsea had been previously linked with Osimhen but having just spent €100 million to sign Ukrainian star Mykhailo Mudryk, it is unlikely that the Blues retain an interest in Osimhen.

The report expects Osimhen to be worth at least €150 million at the end of the season as the price which Napoli are willing to let him go for.

“He's fine in Naples, he earns 4.3 million Euros and his contract expires in 2025,” the report justified the huge estimated asking price.

The report then claimed that “the Nigerian star has asked his entourage to postpone any assessment of his future until June” as he wants to focus his full attention on Napoli’s Serie A title charge this season.
