The Naija boys connection has officially landed in Portugal.
After a tumultuous period in Ligue 1, Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has secured his escape route, joining international teammate Zaidu Sanusi at FC Porto.
The move as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria marks a fresh start for the prolific forward following a messy divorce from French side Nice.

Former Super Eagles star Garba Lawal defends Zaidu Sanusi amid criticism after Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 win over Tanzania.
The Portuguese giants confirmed the arrival by sharing a photo of a beaming Sanusi welcoming his compatriot to the club’s facilities, signaling a new chapter for the Nigerian duo.
A cold ending in France
Moffi’s departure from Nice concludes a difficult few months that saw the striker frozen out of the first-team picture.
The relationship between the player and the club soured following a loss to Lorient on November 30, a match that spiralled into chaos with confrontations between players and fans after the final whistle.
Following that incident, Moffi was excluded from the senior squad. The situation reportedly became so strained that the striker had to involve a French judicial commission to facilitate his exit during the winter transfer window.
Beyond the off-field drama, Moffi struggled to find the net this season. After an impressive debut campaign where he finished as the club’s top scorer with 11 goals, his form dipped significantly, yielding just two goals in 10 league appearances this term.
A move to Porto offers the 26-year-old a chance to rediscover the clinical edge that made him one of the most feared strikers in France during his time with Lorient.
The transition appears to be going smoothly, thanks in no small part to Zaidu Sanusi’s presence. Porto’s social media channels were quick to highlight the chemistry between the two Nigerians as they begin their journey as club teammates.
“Welcome to the family, Moffi,” the club posted on X.
With the AFCON 2025 defender Sanusi helping him settle in, Moffi will be looking to hit the ground running as Porto pushes for domestic and European honours.
