KCB boasts a strong home record this season, collecting 15 points and finding themselves fourth on 24 points, just four behind Gor Mahia.

KCB FC head coach Bernard Mwalala believes his charges could achieve their targets of lifting the FKF Premier League title should they keep their run on the road strong.

The Bankers boast a strong home record this season, collecting 15 points and finding themselves fourth on 24 points, just four behind Gor Mahia.

Speaking before his side’s clash with Kenya Police at the Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday, Mwalala believes picking points away from home will eventually put them in a good place to hunt for the title.

“I think in the matches that we have been playing, our away record has been good,” Mwalala said.

“We need to continue how we have been playing in all our matches away from home and we have to push ourselves even more than how we did against Muranga.”

Captain Gabriel Andika has revealed that his teammates have to stay strong in order to achieve their targets this season despite it being difficult.

“We need to be strong and we need to push forward in order to achieve what we can this season.”

“I know it is not easy but the determination, hard work and prayers will help us to achieve what we want to achieve.”

Meanwhile, Mwalala has backed star striker Francis Kahiro to continue his momentum if KCB are to keep accruing points.

“Francis is currently performing admirably, and I am genuinely proud of him. He is a striker who consistently gets at least three chances in a match, and I just want him to maintain his focus and confidence. I’m confident he can finish the season on a high note.”
