Brown, 43, declared bankruptcy after owing a huge six-figure debt to the taxman, as well as a car company.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has proved to be prolific both on and off the pitch.

The England star became even more popular to the world when he started a campaign to raise money for school meals for underprivileged children in the UK.

Now, the striker is at it again, this time reportedly renting out one of his properties to bankrupt former United defender Wes Brown on a 'mates' rates deal'.

Brown, 43, declared bankruptcy after owing a huge six-figure debt to the taxman, as well as a car company.

He is said to have lost money in failed property deals and could use any help at the moment.

Some of his former teammates are said to have already been in touch with him.

Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick are the two former United stars believed to be offering help.

Meanwhile, Rashford has gone one further by letting him one of his lavish properties on a budget deal.

Brown spent 19 years at Manchester United, having come through the academy to make 262 appearances, winning 11 major trophies.

He also earned 23 senior caps for the Three Lions before finishing his club career with spells at Sunderland, Blackburn and then Kerala Blasters in India.

The Daily Mail claim Brown fell into a six-figure debt with HMRC and failed on car repayments.

The report adds that two creditors lobbied for Brown to be made bankrupt.

It is said the former £50,000-a-week ace only owed a few thousand pounds to the car finance firm.

Brown lived a lavish lifestyle during his 20-year relationship with his wife and the mother of his three children Leanne from Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue and former England and Manchester City goalkeeper David James are some of the former superstars who have had to deal with being broke after divorce.

And Brown seems to have joined that class following his own divorce in 2022.

The costly divorce is said to have left him in the red.

Rashford, who scored the second goal as United defeated Newcastle 2-0 to win the EFL Cup final, is also putting in the yards off the pitch.
