According to reports, Marco Verratti has changed his mind about joining the Saudi Pro League and will instead remain with PSG for a 12th season.

After a disagreement with the new manager Luis Enrique, Verratti was earlier rumoured to be leaving the French champions this summer.

His most likely destinations were the Saudi clubs Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal since he was allegedly dissatisfied with the way Enrique managed the team and the changeover from prior manager Christophe Galtier.

After a career filled with trophies—including nine Ligue 1 championships, nine French Super Cups, and a trip to the Champions League Final—the Italian midfielder was about to depart Paris.

However, he has decided to stay put with the French giants according to recent reports from France.

Verratti staying put at PSG

According to L'Equipe as reported by Daily Mail, Verratti appears to have worked out his differences with Enrique and will remain in the French city.

In 276 Ligue 1 appearances, Verratti has contributed to 49 goals. In the Champions League, he has three goals and nine assists.

The Italian international will stay at Paris Saint Germain next season after being heavily linked away from the club.

Meanwhile, teammate Kylian Mbappe is also attracting strong interest from the Saudi Pro League.

This summer, Al-Hilal made a record-breaking £259 million offer for Mbappe in an effort to lure him away from France.

The 24-year-old France captain was offered a whopping £600 million contract by the Saudi team, along with the chance to join Real Madrid after one season, but Mbappe turned it down in favour of sticking in Europe.

PSG are still looking to let Mbappe leave this summer and are not willing to let him leave on a free transfer next season with a year left on his contract.
