The patchy start to the season has left the Kenya Police management with no choice but to shake up changes, and have thus appointed the former Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards tactician to steer the team forward.

Kenya Police have confirmed that Croatian coach Zdravko Logarušić has joined as the new head coach after parting ways with Francis Baraza.

The Law Enforcers, who finished third in the league last season, have not started the new season well, failing to win in each of their first four FKFPL games.

The patchy start to the season has left the management with no choice but to shake up changes, and have thus appointed the former Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards tactician to steer the team forward.

In a statement released on the club’s social media platforms and seen by Pulse Sports, Police said that he would be assisted by Salim Babu to “steer the team toward its vision”.

“ It's official, Zdravko Logarušić has completed his move to POLICE F.C as the Head coach, The tactician alongside his assistant coach Salim will steer the team toward its vision.Welcome home Coach!”

Police chairman Nyale Munga said that the side was pleased by the arrival of Logarusic, describing him as a coach “of the highest repute” in the world.

“We are pleased this morning with the arrival of our new head coach popularly known as Loga, Munga said.

“Loga is a tactician of the highest repute in this world. He is known all over, he has been here before and he has been in the Middle East. He just landed from Zagreb and we hope that he is going to rejuvenate our team. He is a very good coach.”

Logarusic pledged to deliver good results for the side that finished third last season in order to help them achieve their aim of winning the title this season.

“Police FC called me. I know why they called me, and I have to do what I have to do,” Logarusic said.

“Let's do the job. I have to prepare myself for training directly. Thank you so much, God bless you all and let us go for good results.”
