German international Leroy Sané has settled the argument for who is a better striker between Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

Sané has had the unique experience of playing alongside both English and Nigerian forwards.

The German international had a good career at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga alongside Kane.

He then moved to Galatasaray this summer, playing alongside Super Eagles star Osimhen in the team.

Sane settles debate

Sane was recently put on the spot during an interview about who is a better striker between Kane and Osimhen.

Faced with the question, he said, "Who is better: your former teammate Harry Kane or your current teammate Victor Osimhen?" The winger offered a diplomatic and amusing response.

"I definitely won’t answer that," Sané said with a laugh, tactfully declining to choose between his prolific colleagues.

Harry Kane has long been established as one of the premier forwards of his generation. The England captain is Tottenham Hotspur's all-time leading goalscorer with 280 goals and also holds the record for the most goals for the English national team (76).

His 213 Premier League goals place him second on the all-time list. Furthermore, he is the highest-scoring English player in UEFA Champions League history with 44 goals.

On the other hand, Victor Osimhen has emerged as a leading figure in a new wave of African football talent.

The forward became the first African player to win the Serie A Golden Boot, scoring 26 goals to lead Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.

Osimhen continued his success during a loan spell at Galatasaray, where he finished as the Süper Lig's top scorer while helping the team achieve a league and cup double.

The Nigerian international has also earned significant individual accolades, including the 2023 CAF African Footballer of the Year and Serie A Footballer of the Year awards, and is the second-highest goalscorer for his country.
