Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has expressed his gratitude to the Gunners' legendary manager Arsene Wenger for his compliment.

Saka has been instrumental to Arsenal's title charge this season and he is currently the Gunners highest goal scorer in the league.

The England international has scored 13 Premier League goals and provided seven assists as he beat his goal contribution tally last season.

His performance has invited praise from former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who claimed he is a ‘top class’ player.

Bukayo Saka appreciates Wenger

22-year-old, Bukayo Saka recently heard a special message sent to him by legendary manager Arsene Wenger which he responded to gracefully.

During an interview with beIN Sports, Bukayo Saka replied to Wenger’s comment saying, “Wow. Means a lot to see. First of all, he's Arsene Wenger.

"So anything he says, I think you just listen straight away and he's seen and worked with some amazing players over the years. So for him to say that about me. It is really nice. Thank you.”

Saka was also asked what it meant to him when the Legendary manager said he hoped he would stay with Arsenal for a long time.

He replied, “It does mean a lot because obviously, like I said, he knows he's won at Arsenal before he knows what it takes.

“So it seems like from the stuff he's saying about me, he believes in me as a player and as a person. So, like I said, it means a lot. I'm really grateful.

The youngster continued his scoring form against Newcastle on Saturday as he bagged a goal to help the Gunners secure a comfortable 4-1 win at the Emirates.
