Inter Miami's co-owner Jorge Mas has spoken about signing former Barcelona star Luis Suarez and Jodi Alba to help improve the standard of the league.

The American team has recently secured the signing of one of the greatest footballers of all time Lionel Messi.

They are also set to bring Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets to America according to reports.

The club, which counts David Beckham as one of its supporters, isn't planning to stop there when it comes to signing famous players this summer.

Recent reports suggest that they are making a move to bring Luis Suarez and Jodi Alba to come to play for Inter Miami.

Jorge Mas speaks on new additions

The president of Inter Miami Jorge Mas has stated his desire to add up to three additional blockbuster instalments in the upcoming months.

Prior to Messi's League Cup debut on July 21 versus Cruz Azul, Jorge Mas predicted that any potential trades will be completed.

The 60-year-old tycoon told El Pais as reported by Fabrizio on Twitter, “Two or three more players will come.

“We spoke with Jordi Alba — while Luis Suarez has a contract and a release clause. I don't know if that will happen or not. All the announcements will be made before July 15.”

Inter Miami trying to build their team with stars

Inter Miami are going through a terrible stretch right now, going nine MLS games without a victory, including seven straight losses.

Due to the team's struggles thus far in the season, former Lionesses coach Phil Neville was also fired at the start of June and was replaced by Tata Martino.

Once Tata Martino, a former manager of Argentina and Barcelona, was appointed head coach, it is hoped that the signing of a number of players will aid in the team's turnaround in the upcoming months.

Speaking to El Pais as reported by The Mirror, “In 2019 we started thinking about how we could bring him [to the club].

"Messi can turn MLS into the second or third-best league in the world. I think he will want to make his mark, and he will be able to do it beyond football."
