The Wales captain, who played with the Portugal legend for the Italian giants, revealed that  there is a chilled-out and funny side to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey has revealed the “joker” side of Cristiano Ronaldo during their time together for Juventus between 2019 and 2021.

The Wales captain, who played with the Portugal legend for the Italian giants, revealed that there is a chilled-out and funny side to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, Ramsey said that Ronaldo, who many assume not to condone jokes given the way he carries himself as a professional, has a light side about him.

"He’s just like any other person!" Ramsey said,  "That sounds boring but it’s true. He’s a bit of a joker and likes a laugh, but when it’s time to train or play, he’s focused," headed.

Ramsey admits that he was able to learn a lot from Ronaldo in Turin, even if the striker's powers were on the wane. His performances and dedication in training were never less than 100 percent.

"He’s one of the greatest to play the game, so to see him up close, and see how he works, was fascinating.”

Like most admirers of the 38-year-old striker, Ramsey admitted to Ronaldo being one of the hardest workers on the pitch. Lavishing praise on the former Manchester United star.

"He’s so dedicated to being the best he can be every day, and so ruthless in games. It was nice to spend time with him and watch him do unreal things."

Ronaldo bagged 101 goals and 22 assists in 134 appearances across competitions for Juventus. He won Serie A twice with the Italian giants.

The Portuguese icon moved to the Italian club in the summer of 2018 for €117 million and spent three years in Turin.

The pair managed seven joint goal contributions in their time together. Ronaldo now plays for Al Nassr, while Ramsey returned to his boyhood club Cardiff.
