Kenyan midfielder Sven Yidah is set to join Taiwan's Tainan City FC, accompanied by another Kenyan player, for a long-term deal.

Kenyan midfielder Sven Yidah has embarked on a new chapter in his football journey as he joins the Taiwan Football Premier League side, Tainan City FC.

The 24-year-old midfielder had been without a club since parting ways with the former South Africa Premier League team, Marumo Gallants.

Yidah's arrival in Taiwan comes after he secured a promising two-year deal and is now preparing to leave the country, with his travel documents in hand.

His agent Rashidi Kenneth eagerly disclosed this exciting development, announcing that Yidah will be accompanied by fellow Kenyan midfielder David 'Messi' Owino from Kenya Police as they venture into their new football adventure.

"The duo will be leaving for Taipei next week for the side participating in the AFC Asian Cup. They will depart as soon as their visas are ready," he said.

Yidah's departure from Marumo Gallants came at the conclusion of the 2022/2023 season, capping off a successful spell with the club.

During his time there, he played a pivotal role as they reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, a remarkable achievement despite being eliminated by Tanzanian giants, Yanga.

The talented midfielder's football journey began at Ligi Ndogo Academy, where he quickly caught the attention of top-flight side Kariobangi Sharks, making a move to the club in January 2016.

His exceptional skills and dedication did not go unnoticed, and in September 2020, Yidah took another significant step in his career by joining Nairobi City Stars.

During his tenure with Nairobi City Stars, Yidah showcased his versatility on the field, featuring in an impressive 59 matches and even managing to find the back of the net three times before eventually making his move to South Africa.
