It was cup day in the Creative Championship with the Blue Eagles and No Limits sailing into the knockout stages.

The Creative Championship, TCC, served a treat at the Legacy Pitch as Gbagada FC and Beyond Limits celebrated important wins in the Cup o Tuesday.

Both teams defeated Atlantic Business 2-1 and Valiant FC 1-0 respectively to book their spots in the next round of the cup.

Akibu and Rilwan Gbadamosi were the stars of the day after both players scored one and assisted another to inspire their Gbagada side to a come from behind win.

Comeback win for Blue Eagles

The day's activities got off to an interesting start earlier in the morning when Gbagada were forced to dig deep to see off a spirited Atlantic side.

Akibu and Rilwan Gbadamosi were the heroes for the Eagles after they came from a goal down to seal the victory thanks to an excellent second half performance.

Atlantic started on the front foot and took the lead in the 26th minute which they held on heading into the break.

However, a rejuvenated Gbagada side came out smoking in the second half as Akibu fired them level two minutes after the restart.

Gbagada's turnaround was completed when Gbadamosi latched on to a pass from Akibu to seal the win for the Eagles.

Beyond Limits seal late win

In the second game of the day, it was a keenly contested encounter between Beyond Limits and Valiant FC at the same venue.

The Ikenne boys also known as No Limits, showed they are beyond the reach of their valiant counterparts, the Brave Army, despite a hard-fought 1-0 win.

Kparobo Arierhi was the hero for the No Limits stars as he scored the decisive winner in the 89th minute to seal the win.

Beyond Limits dominated the game from start to finish and also hit the post following a devastating break earlier in the second 45 minutes.

However, after coming close on a number of occasions, the No Limits were made to wait until the last minute for the winner thanks to good work from Farouq Ogundare and Arierhi.
