Turkish side Galatasaray are reportedly keeping their options open in case they eventually miss out on signing Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen may have already accepted Galatasaray’s contract offer, but the Turkish champions aren’t putting all their eggs in one basket.

According to reports from Italy, Galatasaray are still actively monitoring two alternative targets as they continue negotiations with Napoli over a permanent deal for the Nigerian star.

Osimhen remains priority, but Napoli proving difficult

After a sensational loan spell in Istanbul, where Victor Osimhen smashed in 37 goals and added eight assists in just 41 appearances, Galatasaray are understandably eager to make his stay permanent.

The Nigerian striker was at the heart of the club’s attack, leading them to a domestic double and becoming an instant cult hero among fans.

Galatasaray have reportedly agreed personal terms with Osimhen, offering a package close to €16 million per season. However, they’ve hit a wall in negotiations with Napoli, who are holding firm on the €75 million release clause embedded in his contract.

The Turkish side is believed to have submitted a bid of around €60 million, which was swiftly rejected by the Serie A giants. With the release clause set to expire on July 15, time is running out for Galatasaray to either meet the asking price or walk away.

Kean and Kolo Muani emerge as contingency plans

In the background, Galatasaray are keeping their options open. Fiorentina striker Moise Kean is reportedly high on their shortlist as an alternative to Osimhen.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a breakout campaign in Florence, bagging 25 goals in 44 appearances. Kean’s contract includes a €52 million release clause that expires in mid-July, a figure Galatasaray could match if the Osimhen talks collapse.

Randal Kolo Muani is also under consideration after a solid loan spell with Juventus, where he impressed despite fierce competition in the forward line.

Although Juventus are interested in making his move permanent, Galatasaray are prepared to enter the race if PSG signals readiness to negotiate. With a new season on the horizon and European ambitions in full swing, the Lions are clearly determined to reinforce their frontline, whether that means securing Osimhen or pivoting to other potent alternatives.
