Raphael Varane, who last month announced his retirement from playing for the Italian team, has landed a new job.

The former Manchester United defender joined Italian side Como on a free transfer in the summer but played just 23 minutes due to injury reoccurrence.

The French international then decided to hang his boot and retire from playing football due to his injury situation.

Varane, who was outstanding while playing for Real Madrid, won four Champions League, three LaLiga titles and many other trophies, including one World Cup with France.

According to Fotmob, Varane told club media, "Being a top-level sportsman comes with joy, sacrifice, and the constant drive to push beyond limits. Throughout my career, I've been motivated by a desire to improve and strive for excellence.

"Transitioning from the field to the boardroom isn't the end of my football journey; it's a new beginning that I'm looking forward to.
