Five Injured Real Madrid stars set to return in the new year for Spanish Super Cup

LaLiga giants Real Madrid will be looking forward to the New Year more than most, with five stars set to return from injury spells for Los Blancos

Real Madrid’s injury woes appear to have taken a positive turn, as several key players are set to return to action ahead of the Spanish Super Cup.

Los Blancos have faced a challenging season marred by a string of injuries to key players, including significant setbacks to Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, and David Alaba.

However, the tide is turning for Los Blancos as five injured players, namely Dani Carvajal, Arda Guler, Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavinga, and Vinicius Junior, are poised to make their return, providing a much-needed boost to the squad.

The trio of Courtois, Militao, and Alaba suffered anterior cruciate ligament ruptures, posing a considerable challenge for Real Madrid this season, but despite the adversity, the team has displayed resilience in the face of these setbacks, maintaining a competitive edge.

Real Madrid looking forward to returning stars

Positive news emerged, according to Spanish media outlet Marca, as Real Madrid anticipates the return of five injured players shortly. According to Marca, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to have a bolstered squad for the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, with the trio of Dani Carvajal, Arda Guler, and Vinicius Junior. potentially available for the first match of 2023 against Real Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Carvajal and Vinicius are the most likely of all the players to make their comeback in the opening fixture of the new year, providing Ancelotti with additional options and depth.

Real Madrid optimistic for the Super Cup

The other three players, Mendy, Camavinga, and Guler, are expected to be back in contention, barring any unforeseen setbacks, for the Spanish Super Cup semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid in Riyadh.
