The winger, who is eligible to represent Kenya, showed his class by scoring both goals as Leicester City saw off Leeds United in a Premier League 2 clash.

Harambee Stars prospect Siliko Amari Thomas continues to show why he has a big future ahead after netting a brace for Leicester City during their 2-0 win over Leeds United in the Premier League 2.

Moving on quickly from the disappointment of losing out in Friday's Premier League Cup last-16 clash at Crystal Palace, the Foxes youngsters returned to PL2 action at LCFC Training Ground on Monday night.

The only change from that narrow defeat saw forward Amani Richards, having found the net as a substitute three days ago, named in the starting XI, with Kian Pennant dropping to the bench.

However, it was another attacking threat who did the damage during a blistering opening period in Seagrave, with Amari Thomas, who recently made an appearance in the first team matchday squad, opening the scoring inside a quarter of an hour.

The youngster doubled the Foxes' lead in first-half stoppage-time, assisted by Richards, and put the game beyond Leeds, with City leapfrogging their opponents in the table following the result.

Currently placed 22nd in the 26-team standings, Leicester's next league outing is away to Everton this Friday with the Kenyan prospect hoping to make an impact again.

The Chelsea academy graduate recently expressed his desire to cement a place in the Leicester City first team as they seek for promotion and he seems to be walking the talk going by his double on Monday.

Enzo Maresca’s men lead the English Championship standings with 81 points, three ahead of second-placed Ipswich Town, and are firm favourites to make an immediate return to the Premier League following last season’s relegation.

The Kenyan prospect will therefore hope to do enough in the second-string side to convince Maresca that he is good enough for a chance in the senior team which will give him an opportunity to feature in the top flight if they secure promotion.
