Enugu Rangers continued their poor start to the season after another disappointing outing in the NPFL.
Rangers failed to win another match at home after visitors Sunshine Stars forced both teams to share the spoils following a 1-1 draw on Sunday in Akwa.
Both goals were scored by the visitors as Ikemdinachi lmo’s 14th-minute own goal handed the home side the lead.
However, Sunshine equalised before the break thanks to Ibrahim Yusuf’s 36th-minute effort for the Akure side.
Sunshine draw again
Akure-based side, Sunshine, have established a reputation for themselves early on in the 2023 NPFL season.
Sunshine Stars have become the draw specialist in Group B after taking a share of the spoils in Akwa.
There is the magic number for the Akure side after making it three draws in their opening three matches.
Sunshine Stars have also scored three goals and conceded three goals in their opening three matches this season.
Rangers stay in relegation waters
In terms of what the result means for both sides on the table in Group B, not really much.

Rangers are off the mark for the season after taking their first point of the campaign but remain in real danger.
The Flying Antelopes are ninth on the 10-man table with just one point from a possible nine, while Sunshine are two points above them in seventh.
