Everton, a team battling relegation, will visit Stamford Bridge on Monday as Pochettino is demanding a more ruthless performance from his Chelsea side.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is calling for a change in mentality as he wants his team to be more aggressive, particularly against relegation-threatened opponents.

Everton, a team battling relegation, will visit Stamford Bridge on Monday as Pochettino is demanding a more ruthless performance from his Chelsea side.

Pochettino was frustrated by Chelsea's lack of fight in their recent 2-2 draw with Sheffield United, where they conceded a late equalizer.

He emphasized the importance of winning challenges, using the phrase "to have the balls to win the ball."

My team is full of talent - Pochettino

Pochettino confirmed that the Premier League presents a unique challenge and his team has talent that can win games.

He added that his team focused on training and instilling a competitive mentality in the players.

Pochettino said:

"We have enough talent to win games, but the difficult thing in the Premier League is another phase, when you don’t have the ball. When you don’t have the ball, you need to have the balls. Understand? To have the balls to recover the ball.

"I think it’s about training and trying to show the way we need to compete and then they need to deliver on the pitch. It’s a process to be very competitive, very tough. I think the way we drew the game against Sheffield United, we need to all to feel very disappointed because did you see the McBurnie goal?

"We lose one challenge. We lose the second, the third and the fourth and the fifth. And then we concede in the same action. And that was the last minute of the game.

“We are a winner, I’m going to win this challenge, I’m going to be strong, I’m going to defend, I’m going to not concede a goal. That is nothing more than mentality and all being together."

It would be interesting to see whether Chelsea players would respond to this wakeup call from their manager or it would be the 'same old Blues?'
