Harry Kane has made history, surpassing Alan Shearer's scoring feat.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has achieved an incredible milestone, surpassing Alan Shearer's record for most seasons with 20 or more league goals.

Kane's two penalties in Bayern's 3-0 win over Werder Bremen on Friday night took his tally to 21 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

This marks the eighth time in Kane's career that he has reached the 20-goal mark in a single season, a feat that Shearer achieved seven times during his career with Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle.

Kane's goal-scoring exploits began during his time at Tottenham, where he scored 20 or more league goals in five consecutive seasons from 2014 to 2019.

The English striker goal-scoring exploits began during his time at Tottenham, where he scored 20 or more league goals in five consecutive seasons from 2014 to 2019.

He continued this form after joining Bayern Munich, netting 36 goals in his debut season and now 21 goals in the current campaign.

The 31-year-old English striker's achievements are all the more impressive considering his consistent performance across different leagues and competitions. His total tally for Bayern stands at 72 goals in 73 outings, with 22 assists to his name.

Kane's latest goals have also increased his lead in the Bundesliga top scorer race, with Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt trailing behind on 15 goals.

Bayern Munich maintains a strong lead at the top of the Bundesliga, with a nine-point gap separating them from reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen.
