There were a lot of similarities between Vipers’ victory in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League linked to the Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga title.

Vipers victory secured via a 5-0 thumping of Busoga United to beat rivals SC Villa for their sixth title was only two hours earlier than Bayern’s triumph in Germany.

Bayern emerged victorious once again, securing their remarkable 11th consecutive Bundesliga league title in an enthralling final.

The Bavarian giants snatched the championship away from Borussia Dortmund on the final day with a hard-fought victory over Cologne.

Dortmund's hopes were dashed by a 2-2 draw against Mainz, allowing Bayern to seize the crown in dramatic fashion.

The stage was set for Dortmund to claim their first title since the 2011-12 season if they could overcome Mainz.

However, a spirited comeback from a 2-0 deficit was not enough to seal the deal, as Bayern had other plans.

Bayern took full advantage of Dortmund's missed opportunity, thanks to an 89th-minute winner from the talented Jamal Musiala.

The match against Cologne witnessed a rollercoaster of emotions. Bayern initially took the lead through Kingsley Coman's goal, only to be pegged back by a Cologne penalty.

Musiala's heroics sent the traveling Bayern fans into raptures as he curled home a superb finish in the dying moments of the game.

Dortmund, despite their valiant fightback and a late equalizer from Niklas Sule, were left dejected.

For Bayern Munich, it was a fitting end to a successful season under the guidance of manager Thomas Tuchel, who took over from Julian Nagelsmann in March.

The victory marked Tuchel's first Bundesliga trophy, proving the merit of the decision to appoint him during the crucial stage of the campaign.
