Despite seeing his side win against Barcelona

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has lamented his team’s performance, despite the Blaugrana coming from behind to seal a 3-2 win over Celta Vigo in LaLiga.

Xavi had an anxious 90 minutes watching his side go behind to goals from Jorgen Strand Larsen and Anastasios Douvikas, but was over the moon as they came back to beat Calta Vigo 3-2.

Two goals from Robert Lewandowski and a winner from loan signing Joao Cancelo sealed a comeback for Barcelona, raising the roof of the Montjuic, but Xavi was unimpressed by the difficult nature of the victory against the La Liga minnows.

The Spanish manager criticised his team following the win, although he admitted to being happy at getting the three points in the end.

Xavi describes ‘brutal’ victory

Speaking after the rollercoaster match against Celta Vigo, Xavi was quoted by Spanish outlet Marca as saying, “It’s been a brutal comeback. We played with faith and courage, but we were disorganised at times.”

The former midfielder however gave his team a pat on the back for their effort in clawing back the two-goal deficit in a match where they were not as good as usual, saying, “The circulation of possession was not as good as it has been in our last few games. It’s a comeback made from desire to win.”

Despite the scare against Celta Vigo, Xavi and Barcelona remain unbeaten in LaLiga after five matches as they look to retain the league title won last season.
