The match between the Flying Eagles and the Argentine U20 side promises to be a cracking affair when both teams trade tackles in the round of 16.
Javier Macherano’s boys qualified top of Group A winning all of their three matches while Nigeria had two victories over the Dominican Republic and Italy but a loss to Brazil.

The U20 Albiceleste gathered to have a barbecue ahead of the clash with the Flying Eagles on Wednesday, May 31, at the San Juan del Bicentenario stadium.
In the photo, Argentine players were circling the barbecue as their starman Brian Aguerri was heating up things on the night to ease off tension.

Nigeria played Argentina in the final of the 2005 edition of the competition and it was Lionel Messi who scored first against the Samson Siasia led Flying Eagles.
Chinedu Obasi equalized with a diving header but Argentina were awarded another penalty as Messi stepped up to convert the resulting spot-kick. It ended 2-1.
Nigeria has never won the U20 World Cup and will be looking to equal Ghana’s record as the only African country to lift the trophy at the expense of their South American opponents.
