Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi has broken yet another rule after the team failed to score for the first time since joining the club.

Inter Miami played a 0-0 draw against Nashville SC on Wednesday, with Messi failing to make an impact in the game.

After the game, Lionel Messi failed to address the media in violation of league rules regarding the use of the media.

After making his MLS debut against the New York Red Bulls last weekend, Messi was not made accessible to the media and did not speak to them again after the game against Nashville making it twice in a row.

Messi ignores the media

After a valiant effort earned his team a point in Fort Lauderdale, the Argentine once more avoided speaking to the media.

On Wednesday, Mail Sport inquired with a team representative about Messi's availability but there has been no response from his team.

MLS executive vice president of communications Dan Courtemanche stated that Messi, like all players, was expected to be accessible to the media following games prior to the Red Bulls game.

During Miami's Leagues Cup triumph over Nashville, Messi likewise avoided speaking to the media.

However, there is no word on whether Miami or Messi will be punished for the offence from last weekend or for the one on Wednesday.

The Argentine superstar has only so far spoken through a translator at one press conference.

Meanwhile, the team is 10 points away from securing the final play-in berth with two games remaining, meaning it will be difficult for them to qualify for the MLS postseason.
