It is a first of its kind competition organised by football academies in Lagos State and will feature over 120 girls.

Lagos-based clubs Lagos Tigers and KidSports have combined to create the first-of-its-kind all-girls competition for secondary schools.

Over 120 girls are expected to take part in the inter-Secondary School Football tournament in Lagos

The competition is for girls in secondary school who are between the ages of 13 or under.

Scholarships up for grabs

According to the organisers, the u-13 tournament has been set up to help the girls unleash their skills and potential.

The tournament is slated for March 7th and 8th 2023.

It also comes with opportunities for the girls to get the chance to join the Academy on sponsorship.

“An opportunity for talented girls to showcase their skills and get sponsored into our prestigious football academy,” the organisers said in a statement.

The tournament is open to every secondary school girl and school in Lagos State.

A total of over 120 girls are expected to take part in the two-day competition that is expected to be intense and fun.

Registration is free, Sponsorship is needed as the organisers intend to give cash prizes and various merit awards will be given out at the end of the tournament for deserved winners.
