NBA Playoffs: Thunder knock out Nuggets in Game 7, to face Timberwolves in WCF

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Denver Nuggets in Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs to face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Final.

In Game 7 of their Western Conference second-round series, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Denver Nuggets 125-93 at home behind 35 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Thunder All-Star Jalen Williams scored 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting after only scoring six points in Thursday's defeat.

Gilgeous-Alexander had three thefts, no turnovers, and a 12 of 19 shooting percentage.

With one minute remaining in the first quarter, Denver was ahead by double digits, but the Thunder took the lead for the first time with a 13-0 run that spanned the first and second quarters.

Oklahoma City led 60-46 at the half after an 18-5 surge in the first half, which included two consecutive Denver turnovers.

After that, the Thunder ended the game with a third-quarter scoring of 37 points, 10 of which came from the Nuggets' five turnovers.

Aaron Gordon, who sustained a hamstring injury late in Game 6, played more than 24 minutes and finished with eight points and eleven rebounds, while Nikola Jokic scored 20 points on five of nine shots.

For the first time since 2016, the Thunder made it to the Western Conference Finals.

Oklahoma City hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves to begin the conference finals.
