Nigerian-American basketball player Michaela Onyenwere has celebrated winning the MVost Valuable Player award in the Women's Euro League.
The 23-year-old Onyenwere played an important role for Perfumerías Avenida in a 74-63 victory against Uni Spar Girona in a Women's Euro League fixture.
In a back-and-forth fixture encounter, Onyenwere played an integral role as Perfumerías Avenida held on for an 11-point victory.

In the battle between two Liga Femenina de Baloncesto teams on the Euro League stage, Onyenwere dominated for Perfumerías Avenida against Uni Spar Girona.
In Wurzburg, Onyenwere put up 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 32 minutes of action.
She made five of her eight shots and was a perfect three of three from deep.

The victory for Onyenwere means that Perfumerías Avenida advanced to the quarterfinals of the EuroLeague women's playoffs.
They will take on Czech Republic giants USK Praha in their first leg Euroleague women's quarterfinal fixture scheduled for the Kralovka Arena in Prague on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Perfumerias Avenida will welcome USK Praha for the second fixture at the Pabellón Municipal Wurzburg in Salamanca on Friday, March 17, 2023.
The third fixture if needed will take place at the Kralovka Arena on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
Onyenwere was traded from the New York Liberty to the Phoenix Mercury in a four-team deal during the off-season.
She continues to shine in Europe before her return to the WNBA later in the year.
