Nigerian youngster Favour Ashe became the fastest man in 2024 after blazing to a Paris Olympics qualifying standard at the Florida Relays.
Favour Ashe popularly called 'Nigerian Nightmare' returned with his speed legs as he blazed to the world's fastest time and the first sub-10s runner in 2024 to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games.
The former Nigerian champion bounced back to winning ways with a brilliant 9.99s (0.7) to win the men's collegiate 100m event at the Florida Relays, obliterating the rest of the field as Jamarion Stubbs came second in 10.18s and Jamal Miller third in 10.19s.

Ashe's eye-catching performance was highly impressive, considering it's his first outdoor race of the season and first competition in over a month, having gone through a setback towards the end of the indoor season.

Auburn University's Favour Ashe clocked the fastest time in the world in 2024, which almost broke the Nigerian Record.
More intriguing is that the 21-year-old's time is just 0.03s short of his lifetime best of 9.96s and surpassed the Olympic qualifying standard of 10.00s.
