Coco Gauff Reveals Inspiration Beyond the Court After French Open Triumph
Coco Gauff, after winning her first French Open title, credited her growing mental resilience and named Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone as a key role model.
What Sabalenka said
"Novak is the best. First of all, I was able to practice with him, which not everyone can do. You can actually have a conversation with him. He'll give you honest advice. It's incredible to hear the opinion of such a legend.
)
"We chatted about things I've been struggling with a bit. I'm grateful for the advice. We talked for 30 minutes. If you give him a chance to talk, he won't stop." Aryna Sabalenka
"I wish I could stay there for four hours and just chat. But we all have schedules. Practicing with the guys is another level of intensity. It's great to see their level. Honestly, I hit with Jannik [Sinner] for 10 minutes.
)
"I was exhausted. It's simply another level. An hour with Novak, and now I've recovered. I needed a recovery day. When you see Jannik or Novak on the other side of the net, you learn from them. You watch what they do. It was great for me."
Sabalenka and Djokovic are preparing for the start of Wimbledon, where she faces Karolina Muchova in the first round and the Serbian ace plays against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
