The son of former Super Eagles defender Michael Emenalo is quietly making waves at his former club Chelsea.
Teen prospect Landon Emenalo continues to earn plaudits despite working under three different managers in a short space of time.
Emenalo gaining experience under multiple managers
According to the BBC, the 18-year-old is highly rated within the club’s setup, having trained under Mauricio Pochettino, Enzo Maresca and current head coach Liam Rosenior.
Despite the managerial changes, the development of the Nigeria-eligible youngster has not stalled at all.
He has already been named on the bench for matches in the Premier League, Champions League and Europa Conference League, a clear indication of the club’s faith in his ability to step up when required.
The exposure to senior football environments at such a young age is seen as a major boost for his long-term growth.
Versatility key to Emenalo progress
Emenalo’s versatility is one of his standout qualities. Comfortable in both midfield and defence, he has become a regular for Chelsea’s Under-21 side while also representing England at youth level.
This season alone, he has featured in 23 matches for the youth team, registering four assists as he continues to refine his game.
With strong pedigree and growing experience at elite level, the young Emenalo is steadily carving out his own path at Stamford Bridge.
