WWE The Undertaker opens up on relationship with Brock Lesnar

WWE Hall of Famer Undertaker has spoken out on his personal relationship with the one man who ended his 21-0 streak at WrestleMania.

The Undertaker's legendary streak at WrestleMania is one of the greatest spectacles of the WWE.

In the history of the WWE franchise, no one else could maintain that sort of power and booking at the company’s biggest event consistently each year.

However, the Phenom was able to do so and came out victorious a record 21 times, although his incredible run was halted at WrestleMania 30.

After 21 successive wins at the event, Undertaker was finally beaten by none other than the ‘beast incarnate’ Brock Lesnar in what is one of the most controversial bookings in the history of the WWE.

The defeat left many disappointed with many fans feeling 'The Streak' should have been maintained by The Phenom. 

However, the company had other ideas prior to WrestleMania 30.

During the fight, ‘Taker suffered a concussion, but he continued on and later went to the hospital to receive the relevant checks and help.

However, what many fans might not know was Brock Lesnar’s role in the aftermath.

Undertaker opens up on personal relationship with Brock Lesnar

‘Taker recently opened up on his personal relationship with the former WWE Universal champion, while also lauding his professionalism as an athlete.

"Brock and I have always been close. When he came up the first time, there were numerous occasion where we sat down and talked about things, he ran by me early on when he was thinking about leaving. When he wanted to go and play football or do something else, and I gave him my perspective on it.

"Where everyone else was telling him he was making a mistake I told him the opposite, I told him, “Dude if you don’t do it now, you’re going to look back one day and have that regret, this is going to be here. Brock’s a special talent, everybody knows the talent Brock has.

"WWE is always going to be there for him, then he goes out and tries football and ends up in MMA and he did pretty good, world champion, biggest pay-per-view draw at the time that they had, and then his career when he came back was picked up right where he left off.” he said in an interview with Inside The Ropes.

The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar

Undertaker and Brock Lesnar had a fractured relationship was fractured on screen with The Beast succeeding in his quest to end the streak.

However, that feeling was different away from the screen.

There has been some confrontation at a UFC event between the two, although for Brock Lesnar it seemed real.

The Undertaker on the other hand, has since revealed he was there to get The Beast back to the WWE and offer a clear storyline for his return, a feud with The Phenom!

Brock Lesnar and Undertaker are also two of the highest-rated male wrestlers in WWE 2K23.

But away from the cameras, The Undertaker has revealed he has great respect for Brock Lesnar and what kind of person he is away from his character. 

Brock Lesnar is currently gearing up for a match in WrestleMania 39, where he faces the Nigerian giant Omos, having accepted MVP’s challenge weeks ago.
