The Ivory Coast international scored in Dortmund’s demolition of Freiburg while the French star continued his impressive form for Frankfurt.

Last weekend’s round of Bundesliga round of action delivered yet again as we finally reached the halfway stage.

The top two stay the same but not without twists and turns. Union Berlin moved temporarily above Bayern Munich on Saturday but the Bavaria giants regained the top spot following their win over Wolfsburg on Sunday.

Meanwhile, players like Randa Kolo-Muani and Jamal Musiala continued to strengthen their reputation as the next stars of the beautiful game.

But they were not the only players who stood out. Here’s Pulse Sports Bundesliga team of the week.

Goalkeeper: Ralf Fahrmann (Schalke 04) vs Borussia Monchengladbach

In goal, we have Ralf Fahrmann, who ensured bottom-placed Schalke left Borussia-Park with a point in their clash against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Ralf Fahrmann made five stunning saves against Borussia Monchengladbach

Fahrmann kept Schalke in the game with save after save. The 34-year-old made five saves in the game to ensure a point for Thomas Reis’ men. Surprisingly, it was only Fahrmann’s second game in the league this season.

Right-Back: Aurelio Buta (Eintracht Frankfurt) vs Hertha Berlin

Frankfurt stayed within touching distance of Bayern Munich after beating Hertha Berlin 3-0. Portuguese full-back Aurelio Buta played a key role in this win, with a goal and superb performance at the back.

Buta wrapped up the scoring in the 90th minute in just his fourth appearance for Frankfurt this season. The 25-year-old also won five of his duels and made two interceptions and tackles.

Left-back: Raphaël Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund) vs Freiburg

Another Portuguese star occupies the left-back role. Raphaël Guerreiro delivered a man-of-the-match performance in Borussia Dortmund’s 5-1 thrashing of Freiburg.

The 29-year-old scored a hat-trick of assists, including one for Sebastien Haller. He also made five key passes and created one big chance, all from his left-back role.

Centre-Back: Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund) vs Freiburg

Another Dortmund star leads the back line. Nico Schlotterbeck was immense for the Black and Yellow in their win over Freiburg.

The 23-year-old German set the ball rolling for Dortmund as he scored the first goal. His build-up play was also admiring to watch with a 92% pass accuracy, including two key passes.

Centre-Back- Moritz Jenz (Schalke 04) vs Borussia Monchengladbach

Moritz Jenz partners with Schlotterbeck at the back after another fine performance for Schalke 04. The 23-year-old German defended played a role in helping Schalke 04 secure an unlikely point at Borussia-Park.

Jenz, who only joined Schalke on loan from Lorient last month, put in an assuring performance at the back, with three tackles and seven interceptions.

Central Midfielder: Djibril Sow (Eintracht Frankfurt) vs Hertha Berlin

Djibril Sow forms a two-man midfield partnership in our team. The Swiss midfielder was busy as usual in the middle of the park for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Sow won five duels, and made three tackles and one interception in the win over Hertha Berlin.

Attacking Midfielder: Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) vs Wolfsburg

Jamal Musiala was the highlight of a disappointing World Cup campaign for Germany and has continued in the same vein since the World Cup ended.

Musiala scored a stunning solo goal against Wolfsburg

The 19-year-old showed once again why he is rated highly after scoring a brilliant solo goal in Bayern’s 4-2 win at Wolfsburg.

Right-Winger: Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich) vs Wolfsburg

Going into Sunday’s game Bayern had started the year with three straight draws in the league. But they ended that run with a dominant performance on Sunday.

Kingsley Coman was the chief architect, with the France international scoring a quickfire brace in the opening 20 minutes of the encounter.

Left-Winger: Christopher Antwi-Adjei (VFL Bochum) vs Hoffenheim

German-born Ghanaian star Christopher Antwi-Adjei also makes the cut after a hat-trick of assists in VFL Bochum’s 5-2 win over Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim could not contain Adjei, who set up the home side’s first three goals in the first half. The 28-year-old now has six assists for The Blues this season.

Striker: Sebastien Haller (Borussia Dortmund) vs Freiburg

For just emotional reasons alone, Haller deserves a spot. The Ivory Coast international’s future was in doubt last year after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. However, Haller has since gone through Chemotherapy and beat cancer to make a grand return to football.

On Saturday, the Ivory Coast international scored his first competitive goal since his return, and for that reason alone, he makes our team.

Striker: Randal Kolo Muani (Eintracht Frankfurt) vs Hertha Berlin

Kolo Muani’s late miss in the World Cup final will likely haunt him forever, but the French star is doing a great job of not letting it affect his football.

Kolo Muani

Muani was again at his brilliant best after scoring twice in Frankfurt’s 3-0 win over Hertha Berlin. He scored his first from the penalty spot before adding a second in the 28th minute. Muani now has nine goals in 18 games this season.
