According to Rogan, Edwards championship rub will be enough to defeat Usman in London.

Nigerian and American professional mixed martial artist Kamarudeen Usman is set for a return to the Octagon.

Usman returns to face English professional mixed martial artist Leon Edwards in a rematch for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight title.

The rematch is set for London and both fighters are in camp getting ready for the showdown.

Rogan on Usman vs Edwards

Edwards produced a stunning leg kick to the head of Usman to get a knockout victory last August in Salt Lake City, Utah.

According to UFC stars, Usman will soon return as the Welterweight champion.

Usman was dominating the fight up until the fifth round where Edwards was able to produce a stunning head kick.

American UFC color commentator and podcaster Joseph Rogan on his podcast has given a breakdown of the upcoming trilogy fight between Usman and Edwards.

Rogan was of the mindset that Edwards now has the upper hand against Usman.

The commentator had a conversation about Usman and Edwards with UFC Lightweight contender Paul Felder.

The 38-year-old backed Usman to dominate Edwards just as he did in their last fight.

Felder said, “I love that it is in London for Leon; but based on how that fight was going the first time, I think Kamaru’s gonna go in there, be much more dialed in, and not allow a moment like that to happen again."

UFC #1 pound-for-pound fighter Kamaru Usman

Rogan, however, did not agree with Felder as he believes, now Edwards has the capacity to take the fight to Usman when they meet.

He said, “Well, it’s hard to say man because when you watch a guy like Leon Edwards realize that he could KO Kamaru with one shot, and then he pulls it off and also took him down in the first round.

"Now he’s the champion, he’s got that Championship confidence that Championship rub, you know, like who knows.”

Usman takes on Edwards in a trilogy fight as the main event of UFC 286 scheduled for Sunday, March 18, 2023.
