Vanessa Bryant used Rihanna memes to shuts down rumours that she's expecting a baby years after losing her husband and a daughter.

Vanessa Bryant, widow of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, has addressed and dismissed recent online rumours suggesting she is pregnant.

On June 1, 2025, Bryant took to Instagram Stories to share a meme featuring pop star Rihanna, flipping off the camera while holding a drink, with the caption: “Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer.”

She followed up with another meme stating, “I’m not mean, I’m just not the one,” further clarifying her stance.

Despite the unfounded nature of these claims, the rumours gained traction, prompting Bryant to address them directly.

At 43, Bryant is a mother to four daughters: Natalia, Bianka, Capri, and Gianna, who tragically passed away alongside Kobe in a helicopter crash in 2020.

The resurgence of pregnancy rumours has sparked conversation about the personal life of public figures.

Some individuals on social media have criticized Bryant for allegedly "moving on" after her husband's death, while others have defended her right to live her life on her own terms.

Despite the negative attention, Bryant continues to focus on her family and philanthropic efforts.

She leads the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting underserved child athletes, and has not publicly dated anyone since Kobe's passing.
