Arsenal legend Jens Lehmann’s marriage has officially ended, with ex-wife Conny declaring herself “single”.

After a quarter-century of marriage, Conny Lehmann has officially confirmed that she and former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann have split.

In an interview with Bild, Conny, 52, declared: "I'm single. I'm a happy single," bringing an end to one of German football’s longest-standing high-profile relationships.

The pair, who met in 1995 and married in October 1999, had been living separate lives for some time before finalising their divorce.

Daily Mail reports Conny had moved out of the couple’s €12.9 million (£10.9m) Starnberg villa months prior, which was listed for sale earlier this year via a Munich real estate agency.

The ex-couple share two children: Mats, 24, and Lieselotta, 18.

Lehmann also adopted Conny’s child from her previous relationship with Borussia Dortmund star Knut Reinhardt.

Despite their strained romantic relationship, they reportedly attempted to maintain a united front for the sake of their children, even holidaying together last summer.

However, any lingering hope of reconciliation appeared to collapse during Oktoberfest last year.

Conny was spotted celebrating with friends, while Lehmann, 55, was pictured in the company of younger women at a separate table.

Later that night, things spiralled into scandal.

During Oktoberfest, Lehmann was reportedly pulled over at around 1:30 a.m. wearing traditional lederhosen, allegedly intoxicated.

According to Bild, he vomited twice, was unable to stand unaided, and struggled to produce his driving licence, mistaking his ID card for it multiple times.

Officers reportedly smelt alcohol through his car window and took him to the Munich Institute of Forensic Medicine after failing a breathalyser test.

His licence was confiscated, and the Munich public prosecutor's office has since requested a £60,000 fine.

Lehmann is appealing the decision, with a trial date set for April 3.

This follows another court ruling in 2023, where Lehmann was fined £112,500 for property damage and attempted fraud.

He had been accused of using a chainsaw to cut through the roof beams of a neighbour’s garage during a bizarre feud.

Despite his legendary status at Arsenal, famously wearing the no.1 shirt during the club’s 2003-04 unbeaten Premier League season, Lehmann's recent troubles have made more headlines than his footballing feats.
