A British cyclist has died in Majorca during a cycling race, with Eden Hazard reportedly among the participants who witnessed the shocking incident.
Former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Hazard participated in the renowned event on Saturday morning, where the unfortunate incident took place.
A 40-year-old was participating in the Mallorca 312, an amateur road cycling event that circumnavigates the island and concludes in Playa de Muro.
A cyclist reportedly fell from his bike and suffered cardiac arrest on the road connecting Esporles and Valldemossa.

According to reports from the Sun, Eden Hazard was reportedly one of the participants of the cycling race who witnessed the death of a British cyclist.
The full statement from the event organisers reads, "Mallorca 312 OK Mobility deeply regrets the death of a participant during the celebration of the event after suffering a fall.

"We want to offer our most sincere condolences to the rider’s family and loved ones. We have already made ourselves available to offer them all the support they need at these difficult moments. Rest in peace.”
Despite the efforts of medical responders to revive him at the scene, he was transported by ambulance to Palma, the island's capital.

A motorcyclist involved in an accident died while being transported to Rotger Clinic, with the police launching an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Hazard, who participated in the race, crossed the finishing line and expressed how difficult it was to partake in it.
He said, "Very hard and my legs are really hurting but it was very good. The first part was okay but the last 25 kilometres were impossible. I have to train a little more and lose a little bit of weight and then it will be perfect."
