Former Super Eagles and Blues midfielder Mikel Obi has passed his verdict regarding the current situation at Chelsea and pinpointed areas that need changes.
A 3-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion saw Enzo Maresca’s men drop to sixth place on the Premier League table and put their record at just three wins in 11 matches.
It is far cry from the same side that was tipped as a title contender in the early stages of the season, with the Blues now struggling to break into the top four.
Fans and past players have expressed disappointment at the decline, and one of them is 2012 UEFA Champions League winners, Mikel Obi.

Chelsea were known for their ruthless approach to managerial changes under former owner Abrahimovich.
However, while the Blues have experienced some managerial changes in Blue Co’s short reign at the club, Mikel Obi believes they are not as ruthless.
Speaking on The Obi One Podcast, Mikel weighed in on the current situation at Chelsea, and believes that the Italian would have been sacked.
"That would have been a f***ing crisis back in the day. The helicopter would have been, surely would have been landed by now. Surely would have landed by now,” he said.

"And whoever is in charge would have been gone. The helicopter would have landed by now. There's no way, there's no two ways about it. I'm not calling for the sack of Enzo Maresca. I'm not. My issue is that what is going on is not right.
"You can talk about it, the recruitment process that I've been talking about the whole time – Paul Winstanley, I know the guy. Smart guy, clever guy. I've spoken to him a few times. Sounds bright, very, very bright guy. Knows his job.
"But I just think that the recruitment process in the summer wasn't good enough, which I talked about."
Based on the latest reports, the Chelsea hierarchy have decided to back Maresca despite the current state of things.
The Blues are still in the Conference League, which many view them as overwhelming favourites, while they are still within reasonable distance of the top four.
