Salah appears to desire continuation, as he has applied pressure on the board via the media. Trent, on the other hand, is being courted by Real Madrid, and he is rumoured to desire an exit.
Hence, when the video hit the internet, netizens believed it to be evidence that the wheels were falling off, ahead of a crucial Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.
Is that true?
While Trent remained stern and confrontational throughout the length of the clip, Salah's face wore a smile. He trotted before shoving the defender, suggesting he was being playful, or at least was not destructively angry.
Also, the countenance of the surrounding players suggests that even if the duo had a spat, it was not serious, as club captain Virgil Van Dijk wore a weary smile and did not get involved.
Another video was shared showing Salah and Arnold having a playful confrontation a while back. It lends credence to the argument that the recent video was also playful banter between teammates.
