Manchester City are reportedly working on a deal to sign highly-rated Palmeiras defender Vitor Reis, as per The Athletic.

The Premier League champions have identified the 18-year-old as a potential first-team addition and are in talks with the Brazilian club over a transfer fee.
Reis has impressed since breaking into the Palmeiras first team, making 22 appearances since his debut in June.
He has established himself as a regular starter in central defence and has attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Arsenal and Real Madrid.
According to the Athletic’s report, City are believed to have agreed personal terms with Reis, but negotiations with Palmeiras are ongoing, but the Brazilian club are reportedly demanding a fee in excess of £25 million for the promising young defender.
It also remains unclear when Reis joins City, with the Premier League side keen to secure his services as soon as possible; however, Palmeiras are reportedly reluctant to let him leave before the Club World Cup in June.
The teenage defender has represented Brazil at the under-17 level and is highly regarded within the Brazilian youth setup.
