Arsenal’s winger target’s future is uncertain before the Club World Cup, prompting talks of a temporary contract solution at present team.

Leroy Sane has yet to confirm whether he will accept the current contract offer from Bayern Munich or depart the club.

It appears that a definitive decision from the German international will not arrive before the Bundesliga champions depart for the Club World Cup in the USA, scheduled from June 15 to July 13.

Sane’s temporary Bayern deal eyed

With the winger’s current contract set to expire on June 30, the Bavarian giants are reportedly considering a short-term "mini-contract" to ensure his availability for the entire Club World Cup.

According to Bild, the plan would involve the former Manchester City winger travelling with the squad to Orlando, Florida, to allow him more time to consider his future during the tournament's group stage.

The report states that sporting director Max Eberl is keen on securing this temporary arrangement.

Head coach Vincent Kompany is said to appreciate having an additional star player for the tournament, especially considering that many international players may only return to Munich shortly before departure or arrive late from Nations League and World Cup qualification matches.

Which clubs are targeting Sane?

While Arsenal are understood to be a favoured destination, with London reportedly appealing to Sane and his family, interest in other Premier League clubs like Tottenham and Newcastle is reportedly cooler.

Moves to Italian side Napoli or Saudi Arabia are also considered less likely.

The wide attacker has also received lucrative offers from Turkey, including Galatasaray Istanbul reportedly proposing €10 million net per year, and Fenerbahçe offering even more at €14 to €15 million net.

What’s next for Bayern?

Bayern begin their Club World Cup campaign against Auckland City on June 15 before playing Boca Juniors and Benfica on June 21 and 24, respectively.
