Who wins the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title?

From Saturday, all attention will be on six Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clubs as they compete against themselves in a super playoff in a bid to be crowned as the country's champion.

The Super 6 playoff which will run from Saturday, June 3 to Sunday, June 11 will feature record Nigerian league champions Enyimba, defending champions Rivers United, two-time winners Bendel Insurance, 1999 NPFL kings Lobi Stars, Remo Stars and Sunshine Stars.

Bendel Insurance had qualified by virtue of finishing as the first-placed team in Group A, while Remo Stars and Enyimba finished in close second and third respectively.

Group B had seen 2022 winners Rivers United finish first, with Lobi Stars qualifying for the Super 6 as second, and Sunshine Stars, third.

Where to watch the Super 6 matches?

According to the Interim Management Company (IMC), all fifteen matches will be broadcasted on DSTV's Supersport by South Africa-based cable broadcasting giants Multichoice.

As has been custom with the 2023 season, matches will also be streamed live on YouTube by The Nigeria Football Fund (TNFF).

For teams participating in the Super 6 championship playoffs, the ultimate dream will be to lift the league title on Sunday.

Beyond the title, qualification places in next season's CAF Champions League, and CAF Confederation Cup, await the second and third-best teams in the Super 6.
